Part I: As you may know, last Friday was the 50th anniversary of John Fitzgerald Kennedy's assassination in Dallas, Texas. JFK was the 35th president of the United States and was well respected by Americans at the time. JFK once said:
"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." ~ John Fitzgerald Kennedy
Explain this quote. What did JFK mean by it? What does it mean to you? Do you agree or disagree with a quote like this and how important is its meaning to you? Be thorough and thoughtful in your response please :)
As a second part to your post, this Thursday is Thanksgiving. What are your plans for the day? Do you have any plans for the rest of the week with your extra days away from school? What do you have in your life to be thankful for?
Thanks for your response and we will be beginning current events shortly :)
